Did you, while searching for image, type in 'lioncloth' instead of 'loincloth'? Jus' kidding.

Today NIE CW had a nice anagram BOREDOM from BEDROOM. Will anyone get boredom from a bedroom? Yes. The retired people...

I strongly condemn the slur on retired people. For us the bedroom is the most entertaining of all places in the house. It is full of thrills and spills (when we fall out of the cot). Thrills we receive from reading a book, listening to music, playing cards with the partner, talking about the good old days...

  7. Looks like Col. changed the name to "lioncloth"!
Seconding CV's remarks about "bedroom-boredom".Enjoyed tongue-in-cheek comments about thrills & spills!

  11. Am in Sankalak heaven today... one of the infrequent times when I completely solve THC.
Solving Sankalak is like being on a honeymoon... you like the puzzle, the puzzle likes you... everything is good for a while!

  12. Hi

This is Veena - long time reader, second time commenter.
I get to learn a lot here. Thanks to Col, CV Sir, Kishore, Richard, Suresh, Bhavan et al.

    I have a question:
    21D Mind-reader's object of study? (6)
Would this not be PSYCHE? Mind-reader's object of study is "Mind" which is Psyche.

  13. Hi Veeven and welcome to the forum. I had put it down as "PSYCHE" as well but just now noticed from your post that the Col. has it as "PSYCHO". The lack of crossing for the sixth letter makes it a setter's choice and the solver's chance to do some mind reading of the setter, but if pushed I would settle for psyche..

  14. Agree Veer and VeeVen... I had put is 'psyche' as well assuming it works as a noun as well.

    Welcome to the forum.
I had also put it down as PSYCHE.

  16. I also had PSYCHE. Let us look for the answer tomorrow

  17. Thank you Kishore. It is from what I learned here.

  18. Why would a mind reader study a psycho?? Psyche seems more obvious.

Also theatre work = operation! Loved it.

  19. Welcome, Vee. I had mused upon Psyche too, and believe it or not, subconsciously left the last letter blank in the grid.
