    Liked your comment against 3d.

The clue, written long ago, before the particular controversy broke, has now proved to be topical!

    Re 8d.

Thanks for your anno! I was wondering whether the intended wordplay came out. I made some revision yesterday hoping it wouldn't fall flat.

  6. CV,

I had a doubt if you changed the clue in the last minute (which I think you sometimes do) to make it topical !

Giving myself a pat on the back for making it 100% today, though I had some difficulty in getting 'Monomania'

    Thanks for your thought.

Clues are revised merely to make them error-free (any error that might have escaped at earlier stages) but never to add any topicality.

  8. A few good clues in today's Hindu Metroplus ( Guardian quick CW)

Place where bodies are exhibited (6,6)

    Blood count? (7)

    Decrease-therapist (6)

Kishore would not have had time to do it, given his busy schedule.

  11. Have not come online here in a couple of weeks or so but noticed that this informative and entertaining blog now has had more visitors in total than the population of some 30 odd countries in the world (as per the CIA factbook / wiki).. Three cheers to that
