  1. Kishore,

Peeped into your draft and prepared answers for quick posting 

    13A - Edit out bad language = BLEEP [T]

6D – The answer should be RATSBANES accordingly the fodder is missing an S and I’m also clues about the dangerous stuff

16D – How do we get ‘BEL” from Belgrade?

25D –Anno needs amendment Wake up = (-g)ROUSE = Head off complaint

    3. I took it as {ANTS+BEAR+labelS)*
      dangerous: anagram indicator

    4. I don't think 'labels after all' is a fair indicator for taking the 'S' from labels. '...labels - extremely dangerous' would have been better

  4. 6
Anagram Fodder: ANTS BEAR + labelS - after all (S)
    dangerous - AnagrInd
    Defn: Pesticides used for killing {RATSBANES*}

  6. 22 Staff’s resisting — beginning to fast (6) STARVE (STAVE around R)
We have to read it as 'Staff has resisting - beginning..', so as to get 'has' the containment indicator.

  7. 23A- L looks to be from 'Laemaker starting' since look leads to gaze.

    1. Rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

Similarly, Mona Lisa in any other dress would still....!

  12. Good and tricky puzzle from Vulcan.

For a brief moment I read 'picture' in 1 Across as 'pirate', as most these guys are from Somalia in tune with the 'Violent' beginning and

Kishore, I missed out these guys.

  15. For me, Vulcan's puzzle was like "Crack-Jack" Biscuit, Khatta - Mittah, 50 -50 ! Crispy - Yummy !!

  16. VULCAN had me stumped for AKINESIA and HOME PAGE. AKINESIA is a word I have never come across ! otherwise the anagram is so simple--ASIA & KINE
I had put in DIRTY PICTURE instead of DIRTY DANCING as former is so recent.
Cluee of my day is BIKINI. CROUPIER is another good one.
an enjoyable fare today ! Thanks VULCAN

  17. 17D Sacrifice of old Macbeth maybe (8)

    I solved it like this:
    Sacrifice - def - immolate
    old - late
    Macbeth -M
maybe - IMO( In my opinion)

I know the answer is wrong because of the crossings. However, is this OK?

    1. Immolate = Sacrifice ( is fine )
Old Is not a synonym for late
      Why is Macbeth = M ?
Maybe = IMO ( does not sound right )

Even assuming all the above held true you would get latemimo as there is no indication that maybe's synonym should be used first, followed by M & then late.
If the intention was to use the letters 'latemimo' as anagram fodder, there is no anagram indicator and in any case it would be an indirect anagarm which is a no-no

    2. Hey Thiru, I think it'd help if you tried to understand the basics of cryptic crosswords and how exactly they work. There are many websites that take you through different devices and how they're used in these kinds of crosswords. Checking out www.crosswordunclued.com would be a good start.

I agree that crossword solving may be deemed by many to be a bizarre exercise. But your solving is way too bizarre! Please excuse me for saying this.

  19. Chaturvasi sir,
My intention was to know the kind of mistake I did and how I went wrong. From your comment, I could see that my attempt had been very ignorant and silly. I apologize for insulting your intelligence.
