  3. Typically good one from Buzzer.

    Don't think has' and 'for' are extraneous here resp:

    6 Wet meat has low temperature on the inside (5) BASTE {BAS{T}E} Def/ answer 'has' this anno
    8 Fair growth of trees around for environment, extremely appropriate thing (4,3,6) 'for' environment extremely: 'in' environment OR in the case of environment.

    1. Typically 's gets over this problem. I think Defn 'has' WP is questionable. I will wait for more inputs

      Here is how I interpreted 8A
      Fair growth of trees around for environment, extremely appropriate thing (4,3,6)
      Fair=Just
      Growth of trees = Thicket
      Around = C/C indicator
      For= I could not explain
      Environment extremely=ET
      Appropriate thing = Defn

      Did you take 'around for' as C/C indicator?

      Delete
    2. 'for' environment extremely = extremely'for' environment = extremely'in' environment

      Delete
    3. Did you take 'around for' as C/C indicator?

      Yes

    4. Not clear how 'For environment extremely' can be reinterpreted as 'extremely for environment'

      Delete
    5. 'For environment, extremely'

  4. On further research, has in the sense of 'made up of' makes sense as a connector. Changed the annotation.

  5. Re 27a, surface reading is good, 'environment extremely' does fetch ET, but I think 'for' has no role in WP.

  8. 1 a : past tense of crow should be crowed and not crew, I think. Then Bragged cannot be replaced for crew !
