    Superb, Vasant. Kudos for clueing Indian names nicely. 25d reminded me that my uncle used to stay three doors away from Ramanathan Krishnan in the '70s. They used to have a tennis court (mini?) marked on the drive behind their gate. I forget the locality... Nandanam?
