    8 down _ a colourful precious stone thrown as a red herring , sending us on a hunt for some Spoonerism. Pie on our faces !!

    BAIN_MARIE : Will an Idli pan cooker qualify as one?

    All in all, a wonderful experience of exhilaration solving this today, though it took a while.
