    2. Bun scottish bribe. Amount=come (to) be

    3. I don't think the def can be two words added together

      Delete
    4. The def is then probably nonsense.

    5. Bribe: BUNG from https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/bung
Amount as put by sree_sree COME (TO) BE. So the def is nonsense.

  3. 26 Element 0/100? (4) ZINC {ZIN}{C} Zin/0 ?

Is it Zero in hundred: Z in C?

    1. 0/100 will be 0 'over' 100 and not 'in' 100

      Delete
    2. It has to be Z in C, but why 'in' for over has to be explained.

    3. 5/100 could be interpreted as 5 out of 100, or 100 containing 5, or 5 in 100?

      Delete
    4. I took it as similar to 1/100 i.e., one in hundred.

      Delete
    5. Technically one in every hundred.

  6. Chopper as a helicopter is common, but a motorcycle was new. On checking I found it to be a custom made one.

  9. A TOP-NOTCH student with bountiful ASSETS,
Her very appearance created UPHEAVAL and sweats!
    One with a SILVERY tongue,
    Got a LEAD after he sung;
But GRADUAL UNCLES received only threats.

    1. The COHORTS who arrived in an OMNIBUS were big-wigs. None can ENTRAP them. To OBLIGE you have to pay COPPER. Elementary?
Wait, they have passed their elementary of course and the know that if SILVERY things are taken care of the GOLDEN will be automatically taken care of. Their ASSETS are distributed among UNCLES and other relatives. Their rise has been MERCURIAL amd not GRADUAL. But there seems to be a LET UP. Let us not LOSE HEART. Let us wait for a change or maybe an UPHEAVAL.

  14. To view a SILVERY COPPER-NICKEL coin in his pocket,
A mumismatist removed NEON and put a HALOGEN lamp in its socket.
But a LEAD coin with GOLDEN plating,
To determine its age needed CARBON dating!
But the MERCURIAL guy settled for an IRON piece for his locket!!

  16. Last one:
To write CANTO after canto and be hectic,
One has to have knowledge ECLECTIC,
    And the OPTIC NERVE
    Should serve with verve,
Finally without BUNCOMBE the lines ought to be metric!!

  17. Wow!
Something interesting for our nerve optic
