Because of one rotten egg in the blog I have taken the following step.

I have changed the settings to custom readers.

Those of you are unable to comment now onwards please send me an email and I will add you to the custom readers list. That way I can delete someone who doesn't follow the rules.

Please bear with me for a few days I will add all the regulars by sending you an invitation to join after you send me your email.

In case you do not get the email after I send it, please check your Spam folder.

  10. Thank you, Colonel. I never realised so many readers of this blog were affected. If I am able to solve most grids today,at least partially, it is ENTIRELY because of the learnings from this most instructive blog. Felt helpless when I got locked out till Shri Ajeesh helped me out by referring me to you.🙏

  11. Some very good clues. Favourites 18A, 2D, 3D, 21 D etc. Thanks KKR ji
19D - anno needs correction. Per BRB, RD = Rural Dean. R= rural and D = Dean are not listed.
    A few doubts too
1A - wordplay suggests anagram of A goes inside anagram of B not anagram of (A+B)
    14 A Gun = G?
    26 A Interest = I is American abbreviation I think
7 D - facing is at wrong position, IMO
15 D - not sure how examine suggests containment.
17 D - Small is last letter deletion Ind ?

    1. 1a is def error.
14a dictionary.com does list g for Gun but obscure usage. Glock would have been better.
26a i for interest is all over maths!
      15d don't think it does.
17d same doubt. haven't come across that usage before.

    2. Yes . I am also ok to use interest = I without a letter selection indicator since it’s very common usage in maths and finance though Chambers BRB, CCD and Collins British dictionary don’t list it 😀

    3. Btw I don’t follow dictionary.com. Many of the abbreviations there are not in Chambers and Collins (my main sources)

    4. Thanks Ajeesh and Prasad for your inputs.
      My points:
19DN Yes, RD is rural dean
1AC drunken is a valid anagrind and crashed is intended as broken [you would have seen MAN is spread within INDIAGATE
      14AC Gun=G as per Collins
      7DN facing = meeting
      15D examine= go into
17D small = short, so it should be ok.

    5. Thanks . Gun = G is American abbreviation (Collins has American and British classifications). Thought TH follows British abbreviations mainly . 7D I get what you mean but position of facing is wrong . If examine = go into (I wouldn’t use it though), it can act as insertion Ind not container Ind 😀 17d doesn’t work for me

    6. That's a very unfair usage to say crashed as spread (randomly! And not a single unit) in between (india gate)* .don't think that's a valid indicator of individual letters.
Assuming If it were so we don't need drunken at all! Man spreads as man!

    7. +1 on 17d small as shortl doesn't work because short itself in these situations is from cut-short.

  12. I found it tough.
    Didn't get - DIARISE.
THE POTATO was a fluke fill.

    My fav

    Thanx KKR!
