  1. 27A:stodge=bolt(gallop)
    Also, stodge=gorge(glut)
    Also, gorge=gully.

  2. 27a STODGE - Bolt
    Bolt - V. To eat, devour, gorge
    Gorge = Gully
    (Thanks to Google)

  3. Stodge = gorge (devour) and gorge (valley) = gully
    But those are 2 completely different meanings of gorge
    How can we equate stodge = gully based on that? Comments?

    1. +1
      DD is not two words from same definition.

    2. And none of them can be from second/other definition of theirs.
      So, gorge from gully cannot be gorge from stodge.

  4. I meant - it would work if you were doing a double def for the word GORGE
    But here the dd is supposed to be for STODGE

  5. I understand your point. If 2 words have a common synonym, they don't suyonayicslky become synonyms.
    Yes again. for DD.
