  5. A small doubt - tear is BUSTLE?
    In a tearing hurry is bustling - but....

      Tear is listed as a synonym for bustle (in the verb form) in both Chambers and Collins.

  6. Seeing the comments only now.

    On 1 down:
    The solution is an anagram where part of the fodder has to be picked through the acrostic indicator. "For starters" indicators that some first letters have to be chosen, and "how many" is left to the setter's discretion. IMHO, it is not unfair because the solver can still figure out how many first letters to be used based on the enum, the def and the rest of the fodder.

    Would like to hear and learn from other setters / solvers as well.
