  3. I'm ok for lunch on Sunday(3 Dec)

  4. Since Devanathan is from Bangalore and he is Ok with Lunch on 3rd. I am going to freeze the event for Lunch on 3rd. This will suit those who are coming in to Chennai from outstations as a night stay will not be required.
Chennai residents may please discuss with Bhala/Shrikanth and finalise the venue.

    2. Any update on this. I will be starting from Nellore in the morning via train. Will have to plan the start time. Would one hour be OK from MAS central. Pls adv.

    3. As far as I can make out, the marathon will be in south Chennai and nowhere near the station or club. even otherwise, should be over much before the event time. Normal time from station to club would be 10 minutes

    1. I haven't started that, was waiting for a better idea of headcount. But for ease of access to station for outstation day trippers, I feel Presidency Club would still work best. Shrikanth, any comments? Or from anyone else for that matter. Other venues that I can tap into are Gandhinagar Club and Madras Race Club

      Delete
    2. I too feel we should settle for the Presidency club unless any one else has other options

      Delete
    3. Bhala, I agree that Presidency Club works best. Thanks for fixing the venue. Your help is always appreciated.

      Delete
    4. As always Bhala. Presidency is the best choice

      Delete
    5. Agree with the unanimous choice of presidency club- easily accessible central place and a nice one too.
      Bhala,

Always available if any help is needed. Pl. let me know.

  15. I envy you all guys staying in Chennai/Bangalore where you can attend such meets. For me staying in quite a remote place, have to really stretch my itenary(holidays) to even think about attending.
It would be great to attend one such meet and meet you all.
Really hoping to make it this time.

  16. I won't be able to attend... please count me out

  19. Presidency Club is on a road off an Egmore Road or off Mount Road which has been in a huge mess with chaotic one-way traffic owing to Metro Rail construction. No chance of the marathon anywhere nearby.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Would have loved to attend, unfortunately, not on this occasion.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Party hall "Platinum Point" has been booked at Presidency Club for Dec 3, 11.30 am to 3.30 pm. Suggested dress code for men is top with collar and leather footwear, no shorts

Col, I am not sure if you can read Tamil. How have you interpreted ranger's Commwnt? If you ask me, sorry, I won't be able to answer. Go by past experience as you have been together at many gatherings.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I can guess a few letters of Tamil. I read the second word as VEG so I presumed Ranger meant NON VEG.
Now that you ask I wonder if he meant 'Naan Veg' meaning 'I am veg'?

    2. Single, veg with a 5% solution of ethyl alcohol to wash down the food will be fine, thank you
