    Oh what a study on zoology ( an not Botany- Paddy !)

    22D- Infamy- loss of good name.
    I am not able to get the Shakespeare quote.
    Thank you KKR for giving me one more go at it- yes I agree that it is a challenging CW. I had quite a few blanks.
    Though Raju had given 30A as Admiral ( a butterfly) wp is not clear. Of course def is starred.

      22D is not correct.
      Reg 30AC, Red/White Admirals are butterflies whereas Yellow Admiral is:
      A post captain promoted to the rank of rear admiral on retirement without having actually served at that rank.
      I hope the wp is clear.

      We have red and white Admiral butterflies.
      The insignia of an Admiral in the Navy is yellow in colour.
      He refers to the Admiral in the Navy.

      Is infamy correct? With the crossing of ichNeumon there would be N in the 3rd position.
      30A:I think it is a D & CD with the first definition with the first definition in the dictionary as " any of various nymphalid butterflies, esp the red admiral or white admiral" the second definition being cryptic defining Navy Admiral
