ReplyDeleteThe bouncer and the dancer - Part 18
ReplyDeleteWhile high (both L and F) SS THOUGHT that AS IT WERE his action the night before was INCHOATE.
He had been TOYING with the idea of taking over Shangri-la and right now he YEARNED for it even more.
Probably the CHEMISTRY of the snake dancer was not right....
His heart LEAPT up as he remembered his SHERPA friend Gombu working in a burlesque theatre in the CONTINENT.
Now all he had to do was to arrange a TIE IN with a few from there, making them to AGREE. The performance will not be seen as lewd and no question of being STONED.
And then? And then he can surreptitiously introduce Rita in the show. Thereafter his plan to be the SOLE owner of Shangri-la would be a cake walk.
Make the bouncer wanting to become a soulmate!!
What happened next?
A new character Gombu, the Sherpa is introduced. Suspense with bated breath continues.
DeleteInching towards a grand finale like Avengers. Main plot closure but lot of characters introduced.
DeleteJoining those waiting for more action.
DeleteExciting CW from ARDEN;

Nice puzzle!Liked Agincourt, Raspberry, Toying. LOI was Fathoming. Remembered Noting=FA=Fanny Adams from a clue which was annotated by Sandhya a few years ago here.
ReplyDeleteTypo. Read Nothing for Noting
DeleteSeamen slang for worthless meat.
DeleteSandhya!! What happened to the ace solver?
DeleteShe rarely comes on any forum nowadays except for birthday wishes in 1A & CCS.
DeleteAgincourt: Unfortunately Shakespeare is not being prescribed in Universities these days other than in Literature studies...

Vasant: something wrong in the link? doesn't open. Please recheck. Thanks.
DeleteArden always ensures a good chemistry between him and the solvers. I like tha clue.
Tellurian is very down to earth clue.
Yes, it does not open for me also. I thought, may be, will try later.

DeleteThanks Vasant. Got it now. I have seen worse and more of such usages. As they say, the sin is in your mind. I had come across typically sexist crossies by Cyclops and had even sent one incomplete one to CV, Kishore and the Col, who were my first friends in this blog.
