  29. My Acrosslite has vanished and I am unable to reinstal as it keeps appearing in the download as gobbledegook in a Notepad format. ! So I am neith er here nor there and unable to express myself here ! Have had a very frustrating morning ! Sorry, Doc, misssing all the fun ! Any help in restoring my sanity is welcome

  30. Nice puzzle Doc. Enjoyed solving it.
    Had some problem solving 7A clue for I knew only two flightless birds...Emu and Kiwi. I will add Rhea now!

  31. The bouncer and the dancer - Part 9

    SANITY RESTORED!

    The soldiers, some with walrus and a few others with handlebar MOUSTACHES were a cantankerous lot. The absence of an officer to discipline them was felt.
    They made a MESS of the whole HAMLET.
    Some went sbout looking for things ILLICIT.
    In the dance floor they wanted a dancer to PERK UP the show. UNTIE knots and what not...
    The requests were FAR FETCHED.
    The bouncer summoned the manager of the Lad Vegas club now retired and settled in NAIROBI(!!). He did STEP IN and dismissed the soldiers once and for all, lock stock and barrel.
    Thank God
    THE DUST HAS SETTLED and sanity restored.

  33. I had almost forgotten that I have a PC upstairs that is collecting dust. Rushed upstairs and got on the job. Completed the wonderful crossie, Doc and feel contented and purring like a cat !

    I could easily download the Acrosslite here and and realise that my Notebook reaches upto completion of downloading and didn't proceed to RUN to complete the process. Thanks, Doc and sree_sree. Will now try and take over form wifey dearie who is still struggling to create the Acrosslite facility !

    Wish Vishu is not so wishy-washy !

  35. Ajooba of ajoobas ! Raju is back home and dry ! I managed to get back to base and installed Acrosslite successfully. This time, it was smooth and clean. Happy for myself. Thanks Doc and sre_sree for volunteering to help. Have a great Vishu sadhya !
