  18. Good puzzle, Vasant aka Springer. HE as Helium is an ingeniously contrived clue. I loved it ! As a Compiler, Or croupier, you DEALt a NEW iDEAL throw ! Even though I could not get through to Acrosslite on my NoteBook, I managed to solve this quickly seemingly easy puzzle in PC upstairs. COL: What could be the problem with download of Acrosslite ? Thanks for making my Sunday.

Some theme intended PERIODIC TABLE, ATOMIC NUMBER and METAL, CARBONATE . CHROMATIC DECOR to the grid?

Many solvers will cry out EUREKA with delight when they get 27 across.

All done and dusted so early.

    1. Thanks Raju. Chromatic & Decor were not intended as theme words. Lead in leaders was intended.

    2. Okay Metal in the sense of Rock/Stones used in road construction but I don't think the plural use is correct. As it is normally mentioned as 'road metal'

      Delete
    3. It can also mean ROCK METAL music ?

      Delete
    4. Rock metal music was the intention.

      Delete
    5. I don't think Rocks is the plural for Rock metal music

    6. Metal ores are called rocks.

      Delete
    7. Agree with Col.
If music was the intention, it suffers in plural sense.
I thought you intended it as Rocks=stones=metals

    8. Agreed Col. The clue could have been better worded.

EJACULATE: another meaning , rarely used, as per Free dictionary: To utter suddenly and passionately; exclaim.

All those who read into this word for its ''other'' meaning have a ''premature'' mind !!
