5DN Maybe something is missing here. Scandinavian may not be on double duty. the HP for dance will be scandinavians, right?
ReplyDelete5D: The original clue was: Caught, held by Scandinavian folk, say. I messed up the clue in the list of corrections.
ReplyDeleteThanks VP
DeleteIs 24 HP okay? "in speech" is a perfect hp ind. But my point is 'dull' = boring. His speech was dull. His speech was boring. He is a bore. He is a dull person/speaker/writer.
ReplyDeleteDoes the point I am trying to make is clear? Do you agree?
I am always willing to see other points of view. If someone says what I say is unreasonable I am ready to retract.
Some setters say that they refrain from commenting on fellow-setters' clues.
For me a clue is a clue. Who wrote it is immaterial. I comment on a clue if I have something to say either positively or pointing out what I think is a discrepancy.
Thanks CV sir for pointing this out. Agree dull == boring and can’t be bore.
