DeleteI have come across the word dolour in poetry, where it is often used to describe melancholy,sadness. As in a dolourous dirge. It is a beautiful word to describe sadness. It at once brings on to feel depression and sorrow. Strange, though !

DeleteSure am. Didn't think this was difficult (though never specifically try for that). Apart from 2d, thought everything was straightforward. 16d may be an unusual word, but again straightforward wordplay.

I was commenting on Raju's comment 'easy'. Agreed that you do not try to make it tough but your style is unique don't change it.
