  4. As a solver, I was wondering if it is acceptable to use the Cambridge Crossword dictionary to get the valid word substitutions in the clues ? or is it called cheating ? :-)

    1. If you are new to solving Cryptic crosswords, nothing like the sight of a filled grid to spur you on. At this stage one uses Dict., CW dict, thesaurus.
      As you master this art, you use less of aids.
      Champion Solvers would never resort to any aids.
