DeleteHello Sir,

In the span of these ten minutes, today's issue has disappeared from my desk!!
All said and done, Deepavali Greetings to all of you though personally, I am against the manner in which this deLIGHTful festival of lights is observed. Excuse me for saying so it is not celebrated but observed,
Dear Mr. Padmanabhan,
DeleteWell, I will certainly do it by playing that number 'Tungade Thambi Tungade..." from a Tamil movie (unaware of its name) that I used to listen way back in '50s at Bangalore during my middle school days!!!!
So in a way, I have rewritten Shakespeare's "Comedy of Errors" by keeping the copies of The Hindu, nicely folded with the CW on the obverse side. In fact, I ought to title my piece as 'Tragedy of Errors'.....
All said and done, Cheers with Deepavali Greetings...
MGR singing in Nadodi mannan,Tamil film. You can hear it again, for old time sake.

Though I don't understand Tamil, curiosity made me see this song's video. This reminded me of a similar Telugu song "mattu vadalara ..." from Sr.NTR's film Krishna panda veeryam.
DeleteLots of exchanges between Tamil & Telugu films.
