Lot of effort must have gone in framing the grid to include Gill, Wood, Mandhana, Kohli, Dhoni, McCullum, Arshdeep, Nagarkoti, ducks, opening batsman, cricket .. 👏

    1. Has been used. No Problem, IMO :-)

    2. Doc once told me about contextual anagrind. Not full (not to be used generally everywhere) but limited sense.

    3. Problem doesn't fit the context here.
      I would have preferred

  32. Thanks everyone for solving 😊 Below are some notes from the crossword. This is a themed crossword containing of commonly used words that are names of cricket players. This crossword was an attempt to bring that out. COOK ,LEACH ,BELL ,REEVE ,WHITE ,ARCHER ,BUTLER ,LAMB ,BALL ,BROAD ,BURNS ,ROOT ,KEMP ,LEES are commonly used words that are names of cricket players as well (Mostly England)
Apart from this, there are some of the other clues that have cricket related surfaces/context as well. 9A, 13A (This really happened in IPL in 2012 where Albie Morkel scored 28 runs off a Kohli over), 25A, 10D, 5D, 20D.
Do let me know your feedback on the crossword (if any)

    1. +1. I was thinking of exactly the same 28 run over of Albie Morkel against RCB. He and Bravo turned the match on its head with their partnership- Lucky to see it live- on TV of course.
