DeleteRule: Use a comma after an introductory clause or phrase. A comma tells readers that the introductory clause or phrase has come to a close and that the main part of the sentence is about to begin.
DeleteSo it has to be re-read as
President had a change of heart. President is tramp.
Without the comma.
Xchequer uses to employ this technique reg.
I think 'Down and out, a president had a change of heart' would have been better
DeleteBetter still 'Rogue president had a change of heart'
DeleteGreat grid. Some amazing clues -
ReplyDeleteBOOLEAN ALGEBRA, OFF SPRING, EVAPORATE.
Thanx Arden
