  34. Discussion:
6a. No hesitation in returning patty to get meal (4)
15d. Engineer on return sacking the French causes worry (4)

Both these clues have similar wordplay - combination of deletion and reversal from the fodder to get the answer.
I have a doubt in the order specified by the wordplay
Returning patty gives REGRUB. There is no ER after the reversal for deletion. Should not the wordplay be to remove ER first and then reverse?
Returning patty with no hesitation to get meal(4) would work better IMO

    Same for GNAW
WANGLE reversal gives ELGNAW and "the French" does not apply after the reversal.
Engineer sacking the French on return causes worry (4) may be better?
    Comments welcome.

  35. Point understood. One has to be careful with reversal. The word to be deleted also gets reversed. so the indication for deletion must come first, unless accidentally the deletion after reversal fits in.

  36. Thanks for pointing out Ramki. Will be careful henceforth
