  1. A friend INSISTS and leads ASTRAY Vladimir who visits an ASTRONOMER instead of an astrologer!
He lands in the Ivory COAST and fails in his NO HOLDS BARRED approach.
Having failed he manages his AROUSAL and ONCE AND FOR ALL decides not
to listen to any advice from anyone.
What happened next was a CLIFFHANGER!!

    1. Anno. I mean Prick(fracture) needs first letter P(initially) to (be) cast(shed or removed)

  4. Given the crossings and brevity of the clue as well as answer length, it was easy to get to rack(crack-c). Found myself on the rack going from STRESS to RACK.
    Tough one.

  5. Sree Sree, did not quite understand your point. Col is not saying 'rack' does not mean 'distress', he is saying 'rack' means 'stress'. If you see BRB, 'rack' means 'stress' both as noun and verb. (As noun, esp in ref to weather). If you want online ref here it is from Chambers online.
