  1. 1AC I thought it was MAD+R [never ending]+AS [like] and reckless was a redundant afterthought

    1. Most likely, especially with the 2vcommas on either side. Not needed. Clue would be fine without reckless.

  2. Vladimir ( wearing a BLEEDING MADRAS shirt) on being ASSURED of seeing some damsels wearing PANTIHOSES entered the Moulin ROUGE cabaret show in Paris.

The ACCORDION was being played and the show was yet to begin. Vladimir was ILL AT EASE. Could not remain PLACID.

    The curtains went up.

    What happened next?

  8. 19 d CATCH UP = Gain on
Ten = Reference to Catch the 10, the Scotch Whist card game?

    1. I have a different take: Ten perhaps gives Net = Catch up. Is an indirect DD

      Delete
    2. Can we call this indirect dd

    3. I would also like masters here to decrypt this clue please.

    4. Seeing the blog only now.
My interpretation was the same as DNM Rao's.
      Gain on = CATCH UP
CATCH UP = NET UP = TEN

      Delete
    5. Whats the instruction to change from net up to catch up?

      Delete
    6. It is reverse reversal clue I guess!

      Delete
    7. TEN = NET << = NET UP (Reversal indicator to be derived)
And since the final answer is a synonym (CATCH UP from NET UP) it makes it even more difficult

      Delete
    8. Ten perhaps = net up
      Then it's a charade, plausibly?

      Delete
    9. Like DNM Rao mentioned @13:22.
      Indirect DD?

      Delete
    10. To pun, a dumb charadešŸ«¢

      Delete
    11. Yeah. Keep looking at net up and imagine Arden smiling!

  9. I also solved it the same way. Ten is net up =catch up
