    1. On checking, looks like both are correct. Since it means a surprise end, tail may be justified.

  6. Learnt about Hawthorne and Spending a penny.
    Is 10ac over clued. If Hawthorne itself means Mayflower which is also a ship - why fellow and cow?
    Can someone explain?
