  1. 5D - WINDY = Nervous
Like Chicago - Chicago is known as a windy city

  3. 15D- Is Acetylene explosive or flammable?

  4. 26a At the beginning of a game/match, the score is 0–0 — i.e. zero, which is “obvious” at the start

  5. Many more happy returns of the day to Colonel sir.

  6. 26A. "obvious in the beginning" is O which is like the symbol for zero.

  7. 14A is absolutely excruciating.

You have to perform five different operations on the cryptic side, and on the direct side, it's dubious whether "itchy" means restless. (The expression is to get itchy FEET)

Worst of all, the surface isn't clever or even meaningful.

    1. Itchy means restless. Look up your dictionary. No need of any expression

    2. Sorry, that you didn't like the surface. Was trying something on the lines of Sleepless in Seattle - the Tom Hanks movie with his child.

  10. Hi. Was on a long flight and just logged on to the blog.
Extremely sorry about 3D (Minidress) - definitely a problem in the wordplay.

  11. I'm sorry but I found many of the clues to be rather tedious.
Perhaps I'm not yet clued in to Crossant's style. Could be my shortcoming.

    Somehow finished.

I couldn't figure out which clue is which type from word play.

    Still liked
    ENEMY, CASBAH, TAKE PART.
    Thanx!
