DeleteOnly 3 comments today? Where are all others?
ReplyDeleteI am here and attending, late though.
ReplyDeleteFinished the puzzle fairly quickly and enjoyably. What we expect (without fail) from Doc. Thank you.
5D- Human from 'weak'?
Went through Col.'s link, but could not get any clarification.
Hi Paddy, Human as adjective means fallible/susceptible/vulnerable/weak... in the sense of it being a characteristic of people (being susceptible to weaknesses) as opposed to the divine. For e.g After all, he/she is only human and makes errors.
DeleteCheck point number 4 in the ref provided by Col.

Thank you Doc.
DeleteI thought so too,but needed clarification.
'What's it'happens to all of us some time or other, but must confess probably a little too frequently to me nowadays.
ReplyDeleteKeep doing crosswords. It will happen less frequently, I am sure
DeleteIn spite of doing CW's...!!!
DeleteWhat could it have been If I had not been doing CW's?
At 75, I think Paddy you are one of the most youngest members. With your enthusiasm, you would put lot of youngsters wanting energy. Keep going!
DeleteDidn't want to say "lot of youngsters in embarrassment"
DeleteI wish you good health & a long life

ReplyDeleteA doubt about 12A- How does ghastly lead to wan?
ReplyDeleteIn the sense of anaemic/sickly.

ReplyDeletePale, anaemic was known to me, but my doubt was about extending it to ghastly. Got it now.
