    Here 'of' has no place.
    If we take "Males of unions" as a whole phrase, it might give GUILD MEN but will it give "men guild"?
    The component UM to be deleted is not in the same order in the fodder. Does it need an anag ind?
    "Will get" seems to be the anag signal. Is it enough?
    A clue that raises several questions.

  10. 7d an ORE is a deposit of one or more minerals. Ores is gen used to indicate multiple location of such deposits.
    Masses is colloq for a lot. (Chambers.co.uk)
