    Tuk tuks are called Matatus in Kenya, introduced for easing transport problems for poor folks. It is now a multi-million industry mainly owned by politicians in Kenya now.
    Like our share taxis.

    2. The variety of names is given to these 3 wheeled transports in various parts.
      Chagda in Saurashtra, Suraj in Delhi, suar(Bhat Suar) in Bhopal. These are variants of Auto Rickshaws, a bit heavier. Mostly they are either called Autos or Rickshaws.
