    1. I have no problem with simple in/within/without. After all a comma is a setters license, to place it explicitly or not. But when a directional proposition like to or from are used I think that license is withdrawn. "To be in" clearly indicates which one of the fodder is tagged to "in". That's all.

    Should 'about' as anag signal follow or precede the fodder? Pl give considered reply by (if possible) citing examples.

    1. I agree, sir. Couldn’t find meaning of about that works before the fodder and can be an instruction to jumble

    2. I don't think `about' works as an anagram indicator before the fodder. The definition of about that gives the sense of movement is `moving here and there'.

      Here, in this particular clue, `side' is the fodder. If we want to signal that the word side is moving here and there, you would say, `side is moving here and about' and not `moving here and about side'. The latter is not meaningful
