    1. But i have a doubt about def.
A sar cell in abscwnce of light doesnt work.
      Its just a converter device

    2. Solar cell IS an accepted alternate source of energy. There is no question about it. The conversion part comes in saving the energy for future use. Remember solar energy is not only used to generate electricity but produce hot water as well.

  9. Just wanted to share this as an aside -
Beautifully compiled names of all Shakespeare's plays to create a little paragraph of a story, brilliant, clever and talented
    Gives a little chuckle too😍

    SHAKESPEAREAN SHAKESPEARE:

Who were the bride and the bridegroom?
    Romeo and Juliet.
    When did he propose?
    Twelfth Night.
    What did he say?
    As you like it.
From where was the ring obtained?
    The Merchant of Venice.
    Who were the chief guests?
Antony and Cleopatra, Troilus and Cressida.
    Who were the bridegroom's friends?
    The Two Gentlemen of Verona.
    Who prepared the wedding breakfast?
    The Merry Wives of Windsor.
    What was the honeymoon like?
    A Mid Summer Night's Dream.
How would you describe their quarrel?
    The Tempest.
What was their married life like?
    Comedy of Errors.
What was the bridegroom's chief occupation?
    The Taming of the Shrew.
    What did she give him?
    Measure for Measure.
    What did their friends say?
    All's Well that Ends Well.
What's the moral of this story?
    MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING!

  10. Excellent puzzle. Thoroughly enjoyed solving the clues. Was in the same quandary as Mr. Padmanabhan for a few of the clues till the respective eureka moments. Now back to work.

  11. Pedantic doubt. In 19A, is 'where movies are shot' - In sets or On sets ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Collins defines "set" in the context of movies as follows:
      a. The scenery constructed for a theatrical performance.
      b. The entire enclosure in which a movie is filmed
My reasoning was that set is an enclosure, "in" is more appropriate.

  12. Iffy. I think both are used. Let us wait for the experts.

One doubt - bottle is courage?
My cod - FLYING CARPET, BY NO MEANS, SOLAR CELL.
    Thank u Ramki!
@ Prasad - a solar cell can come with built in storage. Gets charged from sunlight & works later (at night) as an alternate source of energy - is my understanding.

    1. Nope. That would be battery which is the source of energy.
