    I am not able to get any ref. which gives bracelet as two. Brace,yes but not bracelet. Nor have I come across in usage. Any suggestion?

    2. BRACE is definitely two, a pair.... Perhaps BRACELET is an Ardenism indicating that we should "LET" the setter get away with simply using a definition for "BRACE"😅

    Same doubts for BRACE LET
    Advice - take a bet can translate to DO WAGER. I feel. Not split it as advice - do. But take it as a whole.
    My fav - FOURTH DIMENSION, STATE DEPARTMENT, DOWNCAST (Rao's Anno).

    1. I think both annos work equally well for DOWNCAST.

      Not held = Cast as in thrown
      Held = Cast (The meaning I have in mind is how one would "cast" a broken arm, where it's "held" in place)
