ReplyDeleteIf America is US then there is an extra e

Sorry to hear about the sad demise of Raj Jayaram. He was one of the six finalists in IXL 23
ReplyDeleteOh, very sad. May his soul rest in peace. Was it natural?
DeleteShocking news. Very sad. Om Shanti.
DeleteSorry to hear. Shocking to note that he was active in a competition just a month ago.
DeleteRIP Mr. Raj Jayaram, whom I met only 3 weeks back in Bengaluru at the IXL finals. We conversed over lunch and he had given me some tips on how to get involved in playing Bridge. I am saddened to learn about his passing.
DeleteI met Raj for the first time at IXL 2023, where he was impressive, finishing in the top 3. But more importantly he had a sharp and curious mind, and drew me out with a lot of pointed questions about puzzles and setting. I believe he was on the way to becoming a setter here himself. He was so full of beans it's hard to believe he's no more. Condolences to the family and near ones

ReplyDeleteMy top left corner was ruined becos of this.
EXCUSE ME - additional E was another problem.
Perhaps minor errors from the setter. But a frustrating experience for the solver.
Is OUTSIDE a synonym for small?
I think it was used in the sense
DeleteThey have an outside chance of qualifying = they have a small chance of qualifying
