  1. 9a is there a OED for undésea:unelevated!
    Elevation is always with respect to ground/earth. Not sea level.

    Seamounts are elevatons.

    2. Its a representation for comparision, Col. Primary is above ground level.
      And even accepting that undersea would be depressed, not unelevated.
      Unelevated would be level/sealevel

  5. Excellent CW given by Pixie Dust aka Mona Saigal. The moment I saw 2D clue I had the hunch this must be a new female setter. Very clever wordplay seen in 24A, where you will be looking for clown cap, 18A heart being used as core meaning, 23A & 8D.
    Thanks for an entertaining CW.
    By the way, Angel Dust I have heard why this Pixie Dust?
