    1. 1a. Conventional notation for silver is argentum(ag,) and bronze is an alloy hence no symbol. How do you justify the answer.

  10. I found it a bit tough. I didn't know RAN is across.
    Is CONCEDE own up - more like agree, give up or admit. I got stuck with CONFESS there which I couldn't parse.

    However several nice clues.
    My fav - MOTH EATEN, SCATTER BRAIN, ADAMS WINE.
