Breezy start for the week. Happy. Most may find it easy. It is, but you still feel happy & satisfied, having completed it in one go like a 100M dash. After all, marathons are not for all!!!
ReplyDeleteYes sir. Completing the grid at
Deleteone go gives quite a sense of
satisfaction.
Incognito clues always interesting................
DeleteMosquito is known as Plane?
ReplyDeleteSathia
British combat aircraft.
DeleteThanks.
DeleteSathia
Mosquito is a type of plane. Incognito has a soft spot for Air Force, planes etc. One can see them frequently in his CW's!
ReplyDeleteLink added in the main post
DeleteThanks Colji & Paddy.
DeleteSathia
5D - Entertainment (-) Amen (arranged) = INTERNET
ReplyDeleteNeeds slight tweak.
DeleteFor 5D, entertainment has 13 letters so removing amen will still leave an extra t, W set nevertheless
ReplyDeleteThanks, didn't realise that. So does the clue have an (inadvertent)error?
DeleteNot necessarily.
Delete@Arnav, @ Esperanza, the removal indicator applies for both, Amen &T
DeleteSathia
ahh I understood, final letter(t) as well as word of prayer(amen) are removed, thanks for the clarity
Delete@prasanna rao - No doubt, Incognito clues are interesting. But, the cw for the first (working) day of the week is more often than not easy. Does it mean that the Setter (Incognito) today, whose cw needs out of box thinking, has, but fallen for general psyche of not troubling the solvers much on the first working day ? May be so.
ReplyDeleteTHC does not follow the rule of easy CWs on Mondays, Incognito has appeared by rotation and not by design
DeleteEasy but interesting cw.
ReplyDeleteMy fav
- INTERNET, PASSAGE, DILEMMA, NARROW.
Thanx Kishore!
