      "Pitching outskirts" means you drop 'RE....RS' and take only what is in between. That is the crux of the clue and the solution is not complete without mention of it. Every word in a clue matters.

    This is share a meal, a celebration with community). This has biblical allusions (New Testament) and has some links to jesus's sacrifice.
    I'm not able to link it to black register ( There is a book by Sithole) and it is all about Blacks and expalins, to some extent, on a sort expression and/or a mode of existence within and against a world that renders Black people as "socially dead" or a "standing-reserve".

      The Dictionary, however, listed a synonym (brand ) for the word label when used as verb.
      Even brand (v) mean to brand a person, to describe someone in some way.
      Your annotation is also good.
