      Where's the problem there? H Sam's is anag fodder; 'bad' is anag signal, smash-up is the answer. No rev involved. Morever, up/down prob in such clues arises nly in the clue - not the answer!

      You're right, Shrri. Does it not mean '' a round item whose meaning is not known? It is my favourite cannonball for the teeth !! My granny used to make it for me. I reckon, it is available only in Madras these days as my friend used to bring it for me whenever he visits there.

      I believe, the basic ingredient is urad daal and the tang comes from a generous addition of dried ginger and jaggery. The jaggery syrup gives it the hardness ?

      CV: UDAL+PORUL+AAVI + a charade for the missing letters ! Intersting variet of words get thrown up by Anagram solver !!

      Porivilangai Urundai! Giving it a fair try...Also definitely want to try this dish now:)

      One very pure A-one grain ladoo with primarily unknown nutritious ingredients! Fantastic, oddly not over-sweet (12, 7)

    Though Nairobi/Kenya is not part of the Horn of Africa, it bears the brunt of the gore created by the horns there ! Sudan also adds to the misery. Neyartha's tour missed this out.

    NO bumpy safari rides , though in this compilation.
