  1. 10A: I read it as BITERS around A, but the container ind (among) doesn't look right.
Bad dogs, say, surrounding a group of fishermen, say(7) maybe?

    1. In that case how do we get the extra A? An English river?

    2. Sorry for typo. I also think "a" missing.

    3. C(A)(TAMAR)AN?? With across = A, in = container ind, goes = just for surface?

    4. Thanks for pointing this out. This clue could have been handled better. Escaped in all checks.

    5. Some of the bloggers may be aware that the word 'catamaran' had its origin from the Tamil word "Kattu maram". I had learnt it in college.

  3. 10a I thought A was being inserted into Biters. Not sure how amongst can be an indicator here

  4. I gave myself a 'Sabaash' for starting late (on paper) and finishing before the deadline. No outside reference.
Filled 'reset' for 13A and struggled to get 14D until I 'refit' it.
Needed confirmation for Esparto & 'Die Gratia'.

    1. Thanks for the starred crossword of Neyartha. I completed it yesterday. I rummaged the lot of Hindu collections but have only from 2003 to 2006, which I collected in Nairobi. I pick at random and solve to clear the backlog !

    2. This one is a starred CW from Gridman- not Neyartha as we usually expect. Pl. read Neyartha's comment in this regard (which led to this starred CW) recalled by CV.
