    1. Portion->bit. Consumer of->take off
      Welsh dish->rarebit.

      Take bit off rarebit

      Delete
    2. Thank you Prasad.
      A bit stretched?

      Delete
    3. The consumer portion of the welsh dish RAREBIT is RARE (short for Rabbit)

      Delete
    4. 15 Consumer portion of Welsh dish // that's lightly cooked (4) RARE RAREbit

      Welsh rarebit or Welsh rabbit is a dish made with a savoury sauce of melted cheese and various other ingredients

      Delete
    5. Actually RAREBIT = RABBIT. So as Prasad has said BIT is to be removed from RAREBIT to get RARE (lightly cooked)

      Delete
    6. initial take was consumer->head/front. Front portion of rarebit that means lightly cooked is rare.
      Which implies we need to select rare, not delete bit.

  7. You may get to know about how a VACUUM flask is made from THERMOSETTING plastics.
    A small write up about the SHOOTER R.S. Rathore.
    Something about HYACINTHS and other flowers.
    A picture showing the Superior Vena CAVA.
    Or the meaning of the RIOT ACT of 1714...
    How did man EVOLVE from the monkey with pictures!
    Maybe a few lines about the SWORDSMAN, The Tiger of Mysore, or any English COLONIST.
    Some of the above and many other RARE snippets, for example a picture of an Egyptian CARTOUCHE, you wouldn't find in a SCHOOLBOOK.
    The outer cover may not carry a picture of a child in a FANCY DRESS.
    Okay but what am I talking about?
    It is the children's magazine WISDOM which I often REVISIT !!

  8. A tough one today; not helped by the two long ones heebie-jeebies and Jehovah's witness..the first one a CD for a relatively unkown phrase and the second could get only after ample crossings. Also could get to solve the puzzle only now.

  9. IS hyacinth a flower or a weed that infests all lakes like in Ukkadam which proliferates ?
    IN Kenya they used expertise and try to eradicate it out of the Kisumu's Lake Victoria to no avail ! I believe there is a breed of fish that feeds on them well, These weeds flourish due to foul effluents. Bangalore beware !

    Heebie- jeebies is a clever hair straightener but alas, not useful to damsels, likr Kangan Ranaut for whom Hrithik Roshan was the cause !

    Is Vacuum by itself a home appliance without the word Cleaner ? It is ok to use it as a verb.
