The bouncer and the dancer - Part 48
Grand opening of Gemini School of Dance.
Smith walked down the AISLE of the CHAPEL between ROWS of chairs and invited the Pastor to inaugurate the Gemini School of Dance.
He was not exactly ORTHODOX but wanted to be seen as such.
Well-WISHERS had assembled.
When the Pastor ARRIVED the song and MELODY was subdued.
The PAIR of Kayal and Lily offered a simple PRAYER.
After his speech the Pastor BLESSED everyone and left.
Those present adjourned to WINE and DINE in the restaurant.

ReplyDeleteI had more time to walk in the park after completing the CW.
DeleteWhy walk in the park, when you can traipse down 31a, sir? :)
DeleteToo late for that.
Delete24a mark of the beast(ram),MegaByte.

Hi Sir! Chambers Dictionary has the following entry under MB
DeleteMB abbrev: Manitoba (Canadian province); mark of the Beast; Bachelor of Medicine; megabyte(also Mb)
mb or mbar abbrev: millibar
'Swatisaid ;)
DeleteThanks Doc! So many titles!! :)
DeleteChambers next edition will perhaps include your name MB! :)
DeleteThe new generation might interpret BRB as Be Right Back instead of Big Red Book Kishore! :)
This place is infested by old codgers like me! The newbies will have to learn the jargo. For us, at a party WTF is "Where's the food " :)
DeleteHa ha Kishore:)
Delete23d I that exchange(s) instead of mix would read better.
ReplyDeleteI thought.
DeleteThank you Incognito for the nice enjoyable fare. Had to Google the Gambian currency.

DeleteTopical theme in Incognito's trademark style. I think it is quite difficult to write clues which are dubbed easy by many.
ReplyDeleteCol. to take care of spam.
ReplyDeletePaddy,
DeleteThis spam came because of walk in the park and traipse, perhaps?
No bugs in our park!
Delete14D. Some boys travel ... Some = 1?
ReplyDeleteSome boys=B
DeleteTravel on a horse=Ride
Thank you. My point is: One letter is taken from 'boys', understood. So we should take some to mean one?
DeleteYes. The first letter. Most of is used to indicate all except the last.
DeleteThis time I got all except 15A, 24A,7D and 23D. Thank you Incognito!
ReplyDeleteMELODY, ARRIVE, CATERERS also could fit the wedding theme!
ReplyDeleteThanks Incognito - some new words learnt today were DRONGO and DALASI

Are you expecting the answer?
DeleteOr referring its coincidence to Arden's clue in the recent puzzle?
The coincidence. Anyway, you have given the answer by your comment.
