  5. I agree with Jacob B that the last two words too could be considered part of the theme as a fighter pilot requires AGILITY and there certainly will be computer SCREEN in the dashboard. Too broad, of course.

  6. I think 6D is a DD clue. German for "or" is "oder". The clue has no anagram indicator.

    1. Polish is the Anagram indicator

    2. Wouldn't that make it an indirect anagram?

    3. +1 yadu and vasant. oder is a river in poland. or in german is oder.

    4. My intention is as Yadu has annotated. As Vasamt has correctly pointed out, the oder annotation results in an indirect anagram.

  8. 26 Policeman gets Axis’s promotional material (4) COPY {COP}{Y}

    One of you correct me the word "Y" to be extracted from Axis = X,Y. Policeman = COP & Axis=X,Y. Hence Y to be considered...is it so....

  9. Today's puzzle was unusually easy, enjoyable no doubt. 26 down and 29 across stumped me for a while. Promotion material made me initially think of ad and for 29 I was looking for the name of a capital city!

  13. OMG!Sorry for having misled! It was said figuritvely meaning various emotions dealt with in the pieces and various forms of literature!I do have good culinary skills. But never interested in writing recipes. How strange I should have given a cookery book link to the mainly male-membered group here! I am immensely tickled!!!The book is a compilation of my short stories, dramas, poems and reflections written over the past two or three decades.
