  4. Can somebody explain relationship between pit and endocarp in 15a.?

    1. One of the meanings of endocarp is the hard seed inside a fruit- which is also called as a pit. Please also read the link given by Col. in the main post.

  5. Not able to understand how medley is used as an anagram indicator in 5D considering the verb form of medley is medleys or medleying.

    2. I had intended Medley as an adjective which means mixed, jumbled (ref Collins) - but it is a slightly archaic usage.
