DeleteIn INDIA it was budget day. It was a PAGEANTRY of sorts. Looked like the FM had APPLIED himself, using his iPAD, AIDED by a HORDE of secretaries and the poor STENO would have had a tough time indeed!
ReplyDeleteLet me not DIGRESS. There were some ODDITIES in the budget. Did the FM do the TITRATION right and come up with the TONIC to give a boost and act as a STEROID to the economy? When the LTCG tax was announced you could hear the people GASP. When he announced corporate tax cut the opposition got off its POSTERIOR. "EVIL" cried one, "ABOMINATION" cried another. "Working classes are being led to the ABATTOIR" those from the Left. Words that would have shocked an INGENUE or a NUN were drowned in the noise. There was no PATINA of parliamentary niceties. Looks like consensus is put on DRY ICE.
