    1. Used CV Sir's technique to get Geezer. Got Gee from My then put in the last ER as E was in the crossing and ran through the alphabet for the 4th letter Z( CV Sir had quoted this technique in his interview in CU)

    2. I got the love endless ZER and G from crossing. confidence in GRIDMAN said GEE has to be MY.

  2. 17A soldier on- solder (bond) taking 1 (one) on (working)

  3. 17A SOLDIER ON = persevere ( SOLDER = Bond , I = one , ON = working )

  4. 24a: {ex}{(-a)(+e)mplify}
    Normally, 'not a trace of evidence'= (-e)
    To read separately
    not a = (-a)
    Trace of evidence =(+e)
    looks odd.

    8d: gee=my?

    2. Gridman called it a pair. So,pair=brace=surgical contraption.

  9. Each day one word or phrase from the Compulanguage ? Today, it is WORD PROCESSOR.

    POMPADOUR is well constructed- reminded of Madame de Pompadour . The Pura Koodu used to be the hairstyle of the gracious ladies like Nanda and Mala Sinha in the Hindi films of yore. Wonder how many pigeons were hidden in them ! GREENS is redolent of POPEYE & OLIVE. GEEZER constructed as MY-GEE + ZER(0) good wordplay. Bond with a capital B need not have to be capital B. Did Gridman ever lived in SION in Bombay any time? He likes to reminisce on this suburb many times in his grid. He perhaps, can bring out a crossie on the suburbs of Bombay. Many of them lend to good wordplay- like Dahisar, Andheri Mahim etc. Gridman's clues bring a lot of good comments here.

  10. Late news

    A RAGTAG golfer wearing a tee with a SWASTIKA emblem SPRUNG from the GREENS to EMBRACE an elegant BRUNETTE with a fantastic PAMPADOUR.
    Onlookers were PERPLEXED. SHEEPISH.
    No need to keep in ABEYANCE as to what happened next.
    Many did OBSERVE that the person was the young golfer's mother!!
