ReplyDeleteYou are welcome. Glad you enjoyed it.
DeleteEnjoyable Puzzle! My COD 21A( Eat Men!)
ReplyDeleteDo cannibals eat men only?
DeleteShall we say 'Eat men also?
DeleteEvery married man would say, yes.
Delete😂
DeleteThanks Vasant. KKR - though I hardly expected to be saying this - "men" is intended in the sense of "human beings" in this case:)
DeleteSuperb thematic puzzle specially for cricket buffs like me. 7ac and 21ac are my favorites. Enjoyed solving. Thanks Hypatia.
ReplyDeleteGreat. I did this one as a tribute to my dad who was a die-hard cricket fan as well as my hubby who is an ardent fan.
Delete17d PATHY for husband in Hindi ok?
ReplyDeleteCol.'s link gives it as pati. But ref.list gives pathy. That is the trouble in writing local (Hindi/ Sanskrit/ Tamil) words in English. There can be wide variations. Yesterday we had Gurdwara/ Gurudwara (obviously from Guru)
DeleteWe had a picture- Pati, Patni aur Woh
ReplyDeleteIn Tamil we have Pasupathi, Ganapathy etc.
ReplyDeleteIPL 20-20
ReplyDeleteIt's not as slow as ODI's or test cricket
No role for anchor-spending time at the wicket
Strike rate is all that matters for batters
And economy rate for bowlers
It's just not cricket its intricate!
N Sridhar
Good one Sridhar. Your strike rate is good.
DeleteNice Sridhar - I love the last line particularly :)
DeleteThanks Sathia. That's the best thing about crosswords - we learn every day.
