  1. Good quality CW but tough. Vol. had to cheat only once. Me? Many times? Problem is nothing wp and solution words are difficult. We haven't vine across a fewbohrases like Yellow brick road etc

    24ac - Doubling means around?
    26ac - shrinking means around? How do u get run & around?
    16dn - bar is BAN. what is stops? Wp?
    Can someone kindly explain.

    Extremely happy to say I got all except SLAP BANG and NULLIFIER. Even YELLOW BRICK ROAD.

    Tough level of cluing than what we normally get - but v v Happy to solve even 80%

    1. Pots means lots- of anything. In this case,money.
      24A- Doubling to indicate 2 golds- yellow & OR
      26A- Shrinking stuff is filling. Run from Hides (I think) Around is insertion indicator.
      16D- Stops is again insertion/ containment indicator.

    2. All reversal indicators have been off (as in weird very limited usage verbs)
      24a doubling is a nautical term to say sail around. It works as container imho. Here it's used as reversal for OR. Craven is yellow.
      26a shrinking is also retiring/retreating. Spread-run<=over, hides container.
