    1. Totally agree with Paddy on this. 3D was the only clue I could not solve in the grid. I came here and when I saw the answer.. couldn't stop 2 things: 1. Bang my head for missing this and 2. Marvel at the ingenuity of the wordplay in the clue. Great stuff!!

  2. How does one classify 24A? Def.in the middle. Maybe def.is " These discriminators"?
    Exist from are? Should it not be 'Is'?

  3. 24 A, sexists
    This is very intriguing.
    On board ( exists) , discriminators (def.) is sexists. The 's', 's' indicates the two sexes polarized or divided !?
    Am I striking a chord ?

    3. Please try to understand how cryptic crossword is set. It always gives a different line of thinking than what you think it has to be. This is the beauty of such CW. Having said that if you keep visiting this blog and try to understand the solutions given for each type of clues, probably you may understand the clues better.

    Can the solution be ? :
    Enter = TYPE ON
    Author = POE ( American : Edgar Allen Poe )
    Around = Anagram Indicator
    So ,
    Poe
    Would become
    PEO
    Extremely = First and Last letters Selection Indicator from the Fodder
    T ips Y = Fodder
    So,
    TY
    Lunchtime = N oon =
    ஃ
    Enter = TYPE ON
