    Chemist= Pharmacist?
    Free Dict. says " In Britain Chemist/ Chemist's refers to a pharmacy.
    So 's is relevant.

    so, Lose heart
    The word Lose refers to people who lose or drop match.
    Heart means to reach to the core of an issue(drill)
