15A- Liked tge clue very much, but does it need A? ....for A match perhaps?
ReplyDeleteYes, it would have been simple. The split “a light” was creating doubt since alight directly means disembark.

DeleteInteresting to note that ' A man with two left feet' is the title of a PGW novel.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw that novel for the first time I was imagining a real man like that and wondered why should it ve a title of a book- until I could get it's meaning as an idiom for clumsiness.
ReplyDeleteA person who can’t dance is also called like that!
DeleteSathia
A person with two left feet is" rightly" called as one who can't dance
DeleteExactly. That is the meaning of the idiom and it'll of the book- also indicates clumsiness.
DeleteRead as title of the book
DeleteEnjoyed the clues - 24-A, 13-A, 15-A, 2-D to 4-D & 23-D. 👍 🌹 👍
ReplyDeletePardon me for this comment at the end of the day. Being a 'Late Latif' seems to have become my hallmark or a trademark since those nursery school days of 1950-52 at Himanshu Sishu Vihar in Malleswaram of Bangalore
